Subject: Mơ (latest) and an answer to an inquiry

Subject: Mơ (latest) and an answer to an inquiry

Words mean whatever we take them to mean. Tons of books (and thousands, if not millions of trees have perished) have been used and rivers of blood have been shed to explore the meaning of words, and meaning of life, not to mention the notion of God and its related cousins: Trinity, Virgin Mary, Messiah, Reincarnation, Everlasting Life, Paradise, Hell, and all that shit.

I am an artist with words. The reader takes home with him/her whatever the interpretations he/she feels most at home with the words I wrote. The same as how he reacts to a painting, a piece of music, a stage performance. That's what art is all about: to bring about an awareness and a transformation of consciousness. Humans have art; animals have instinct. With humans, art changes through time; with animals, their performance stays the same throughout time. Humans grow because they question, challenge, defy traditions. Boredom is harmful to one's well-being. Boredom is the main cause of Man's flirtations with destructions and self-destructions.

Again, ask yourself a question: are you living your life as a human or an animal? After answering that question, move on to next questions : are you a human artist or just plainly a human animal? What does your life mean to you? Why are you here? Disquietness brings change/growth.

It's hard to be a conscious, aware human being, let alone a human artist. We are whatever we think we are. That is Buddha's beautiful insight and the first line in the Dhammapada. Additionally, whatever we think we are may depend on what others keep telling us who we are: are we free and endowed with free will or are we born sinners? In the end, it all comes back to philosophy and the ability to think. If we cannot or don't want to think, others will do the thinking for us.

Em đến trong mơ
huy hoàng rực rỡ
Tay anh rộng mở
như thuở còn thơ

Ôm chặt vào lòng
cho thỏa nhớ mong
Tình anh với em
luôn tình trong mộng

Biết em làm chi
cho sầu cho nhớ
Yêu em làm gì
đau đớn nỗi lòng

Gặp em trong mơ
nồng nàn như thế
Giáp mặt ngoài đời
có dám chào không

Chào em làm chi
cho buồn cho tủi
Yêu em làm gì
Đêm về lủi thủi

Nếu biết yêu em
buồn dài thế kỷ
Anh chả cốc thèm
Cho mối tình si
