Commonality of the Arabs and the Vietnamese

In June 2009, in a reaching out soeech to the Muslim world, Obama declared in Cairo: “I do have an unyielding belief that all people yearn for certain things: the ability to speak your mind and have a say in how you are governed; confidence in the rule of law and the equal administration of justice; government that is transparent and doesn’t steal from people; the freedom to live as you choose.”

None of what Obama articulated has taken place in the Arab world and in Vietnam. Now the Arabs  in North Africa and the Middle East are rising up and making the universal and deeply held human longings articulated by Obama a reality after years of living in misery and loss of dignity. Shouldn't the Vietnamese who have exactly the same sufferings as the Arabs, do the same?
