WhyIsPoliticsMuchMoreImportantThanReligion?

The following is copy of a letter to a friend:

"Frankly, you can't be a politically myopic person for not voting for the pathological liar cum demagogue. Congratulations!

Trump is a litmus test of a voter's political astuteness and moral character. A vote for him was essentially saying that one found his philosophy and conduct acceptable.

Are you aware that disagreements over Trump have broken long friendships and marriages? One can marry and stay married with somebody who has a different religion, but for a marriage to last, one of the basic requirements is political compatibility. Trump is like VC. Either you like VC or hate VC. You can't just be lukewarm and indifferent to VC. A pro-VC person cannot stay married with an anti-VC person.

Politics is much more important than Religion because it's concerned with the here and now;
with Power, Life and Death; and with Justice, Provable Facts, and Truths. Religion, on the other hand, is just a palliative, a pie in the sky, a fairy tale that only fools would take seriously."
