Happy New Year To Me

While it's understandable to hate those who hurt us, and dream of inflicting grievous bodily harm on them, it is utterly and completely stupid and downright idiotic to nurture such an unhealthy, undying wish and desire. 

To forgive and then forget those who have done us wrong is a mark of true enlightened humans. To seek revenge is simply an act of a common, animalistic human who does not know the balm and majesty of understanding and forgiveness. An eye for an eye makes all the Vietnamese blind eventually and renders them incapable of defending themselves against their true enemies: the Chinese and the Khmers. 

Happy New Year! New Year means a  New and Better Mode of Thinking. A man who is not better today than he was of yesterday is not much of a man.

We ask those whom we have wronged to forgive us as we summon the strength within ourselves to forgive those who have done us wrong.
