Signs and The World

You woke up from a restful, uninterrupted sleep with a recent recurring dream which had something to do with finance. 

When you were a very stupid, foolish young man, your recurring dreams were about the pangs of Lost Love, some Sex, and Violence. On the way to work, a billboard talked about Dream. Then it hit you that we are surrounded by signs/symbols, man-made and natural. 

Recurring dream is definitely a sign of import/significance. It tells you of your deepest concern, despite everyday outward protestations. You wish you had the insights you are having now when you were younger. 

This piece is not about a semiotics, a vastly complex subject, but about Sign as an interpreting tool of the world in which you live. You lately have been trying to grapple with your purpose of being in this world instead of going out on noise-making spree and then killing yourself. One way of justifying why you don't go out with a bang is to think that you are quite a thinker and that you have by trial and error have found a way to make sense of the world in which you inhabit. So you stumbled into this idea that you are surrounded by signs, and that Language is only a small part of the Sign System.  Signs are outward manifestations of Underlying Reality of Energy in the process of reaching entropy. All Knowledge is interrelated and broken down to various disciplines for ease of study and specialization. 

The more you live, the more you realize that the Pursuit of Knowledge or even Self-Actualization is too much an arduous task for the assholes in this world. For them, Life is a burden and a struggle. They try their best not to kill themselves while seeking refuge in sensuous pleasures and mocking others who are vastly superior to them in intellect and accomplishments. They ridicule what they despise the most in themselves. They are embodiments and exercises in Failure. Man is a strange and pathetic animal. The human animals certainly live their lives that way. Yet they can't keep their pathetic mouths shut. The most stupid assholes on the Net dispense their stupid "opinions" everyday on Internet forums on subjects that their puny minds can't really comprehend in crippled prose laden with factual and grammatical errors and wrong spellings. These assholes don't have any true sense of Shame or Honor. Nguyễn Văn Nam (aka nguyenvanhai, vinhbao, hatriduy, and nguyenngocnghia); Hùng Thế aka Phú Vân; Tâm Mimh aka Colleen Ha and Đỗ Hoàng Thông, are prime examples and specimens of these assholes. They traffic in lies and fabrications and wanton ignorance. They feel they must assert themselves while sadly are ignorant of the fact that all discerning readers on the Net already know that they are scumbags who can't think, can't write, and only live lives of noisy desperation.
